The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine received the following solidarity statement from the Coordinadora Guevarista por la Unidad de los Revolucionarios on January 22, 2012, commemorating the fourth anniversary of the passing of Al-Hakim, Dr. George Habash, the founder of the Arab Nationalist Movement and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine:
“There are men who struggle for a day and they are good.
There are men who struggle for a year and they are better.
There are men who struggle many years, and they are better still.
But there are those who struggle all their lives:
These are the indispensable ones”
(Bertolt Brecht, “Praise of the fighters”)
On the anniversary of the death of our dear comrade George Habash, on January 26, we would pay our tribute to the great Palestinian revolutionary leader who has been and still is an example for the revolutionary comrades all over the world.
An example of steadfastness and revolutionary mind, who gave to the Palestinian people the means to confront the worst articulation of imperialism, the Zionist colonization.
He was and still is an example, too, for all of us who are fighting capitalism and imperialism all over the world and looking at Palestinian steadfast resistance as the experience to share and to support.
Honor to our dear comrade George Habash and all Palestinian fighters! Long live to Palestinian resistance!
